Confronting the Racial Divide
As Designer at Arrow, I had the opportunity to work on visual identity and event collateral design for The Summit on Race in America hosted by the LBJ Foundation at the LBJ Presidential Library. The event—featuring civil rights icons, activists, musicians, comedians, thought leaders, and community leaders—aimed to explore our nation’s continuing racial divide and struggle for racial equality.

The Concept
The Summit’s signature mark featured two speech bubbles within a waving American flag, offset from one another along a diagonal to represent the inherent tensions of this complex issue. I designed hero artwork that followed this concept using type, color, motion, and the American flag to illustrate it as both a division and a convergence. This visual identity was applied to print collateral and stage visuals.
